Configure system, network, VHQ, and Commander settings.

Configuration

Use these procedures to configure the M425A in System Mode, EVPay, and Commander Configuration Client.

Configure an IP address in System Mode

  1. Press 1, 5, and 9 together to open System Mode.

  2. At Users, select Supervisor.

  3. Enter the assigned supervisor password.

  4. Select the three-dot menu.

  5. Open Android SettingsNetwork & Internet.

  6. Select Advanced optionsEthernet.

  7. Enter the network details and save.

Configure sound and mandatory reboot

From System Mode, select Supervisor, then open Android Settings.

  • Select Sound & Vibration to adjust volume.

  • Select SecurityMore security settingsMandatory reboot to set the 24-hour PCI reboot time.

Access EVPay configuration

Obtain the IP address, SSL setting, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS values from the network host.

  1. Wake the terminal from the screensaver.

  2. Press #, 6, #, 6 quickly.

  3. Enter the assigned configuration password.

  4. Use the main Configuration screen to select a setting.

Network settings

Select Network Settings. Enter the IP address, SSL setting, netmask, gateway, and DNS values. Select Apply or press the green key to save.

Select Cancel to discard changes.

EMV information

Select EMV Information to view the terminal’s EMV details. Select Back to return.

RFID support

Select RFID Support to view or change RFID support. RFID is enabled by default. Select Apply to save.

VHQ configuration

Select VHQ Configuration to view the VHQ Agent version. You can manually set Store ID, Lane ID, and Service ID when required.

Select Apply to save settings.

Configure Commander

Open Commander Configuration Client and navigate to Payment ControllerEPS ConfigurationEPS Global ConfigurationPOP.

  1. Select Add POP.

  2. Select the M425A model.

  3. Enter the terminal IP address and port.

  4. Select SSL when required. Enter the secure port.

  5. Enable signature capture and line-item display when required.

  6. Enter the line-item display port.

Each M425A and MX PIN pad needs a unique IP address. All configured PIN pads must use either SSL or non-SSL consistently.
