Preset Not Allowed after AEOD

Resolve "Preset Not Allowed" errors after AEOD by confirming pumps are idle, running Full Fuel Initialization, and checking Fuel Site Pause.

Use this guide if the error started right after Day Close/AEOD.

Also Called: Preset Not Allowed, Preset/Prepay not allowed, AEOD, Auto End of Day, Day Close, Fuel Site Pause, Disable fuel, Full Fuel Initialization.

If it started at another time, start with the general checks in Fuel/Dispenser Troubleshooting.

Why this happens

AEOD can temporarily Disable fuel. If fueling stays disabled after AEOD completes, the site may still be paused (or pumps may not be fully idle).

How to restore fueling after AEOD

1

Before Initializing Fuel, confirm:

  • All pumps/fueling positions are Idle and

  • No Active transactions or customers at the pumps.

This prevents Initialization errors and stuck fuel sales.

2

Run a Full-Fuel Initialization

Perform a Full Fuel Initialization. Do not start initialization unless every pump is idle (no customer is using it).

3

Check the Fuel Site Pause setting (after AEOD)

If you use Automatic End Of Day (AEOD), the option to Disable fuel during the close might have been enabled. If Preset Not Allowed continues after AEOD finishes, confirm Fuel Site Pause is not enabled:

If you use Automatic End Of Day (AEOD), the option to Disable fuel(refer image below) during closing might be active, causing Fuel Site Pause to be activated.

If Preset Not Allowed issue persists after AEOD completes, ensure Fuel Site Pause is not active. If Active, set Fuel Site Pause to Disabled / False (Refer Images below)

CSR Function > 3.Fuel Manager Menu > 9.Fuel Site Pause

4

Re-test fueling

Attempt a small Preset/Prepay on any of the pumps. If the Preset/Prepay works, normal operation can resume.

5

Contact Helpdesk, if still failing
