Commander

Troubleshoot a Commander that appears off by checking the heartbeat, A/C Input 1, and UPS power.

Use this when the Commander looks off or has no heartbeat.

If the led on heartbeat(HB) is visible, the Commander has power.

If there is no heartbeat(HB light is Off), check the A/C Input 1 cable and the UPS or wall outlet.

How to check power on Commander

Look for the heartbeat(HB)

If the heartbeat(HB light) is visible, the Commander has power.

If the HB light is Off, proceed to Step 2.

Check the A/C Input 1 cable

Go to the back of the Commander.

Find A/C Input 1.

Make sure the power cord is fully plugged into A/C Input1.

Check the other end of the power cord

Trace the same power cord to the UPS or wall outlet.

Make sure that end is fully plugged in too.

The Commander should stay plugged into a UPS. This protects the unit and helps provide stable voltage.
