Error: Preset Not Allowed

This page explains how to resolve the above error.

Resolving the "Preset Not Allowed" Error with Prepaid Fueling

If you encounter the "Preset Not Allowed" error affecting one or more fueling points while attempting to Prepay, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1

Check AEOD (Auto End of Day):

During Automatic End of Day (AEOD), some sites are configured to disable fuel while day close is processing. When this is enabled, prepays/presets can be rejected with "Preset Not Allowed".

  1. In Config Client, go to Reporting > Report Configuration > Auto End of Day (AEOD).

  2. Check whether the option to Disable fuel during AEOD/day close is enabled.

    • If enabled, wait for AEOD to complete, then retry the Prepay.

If the error continues after AEOD is complete, continue to the next step.

2

Fuel Site Pause:

Fuel Site Pause prevents the site from authorizing/presetting fuel. Confirm it is not enabled.

On the register, go to:

CSR FUNC -> 3. FUEL MANAGER MENU -> 9. FUEL SITE PAUSE

  • Expected setting: Disabled / False

  • If it shows Enabled / True, set it to Disabled, then retry the Prepay.

3

Before Initializing Fuel, confirm:

  • All pumps/fueling positions are Idle and

  • No Active transactions or customers at the pumps.

This prevents Initialization errors and stuck fuel sales.

4

Initialize Fuel

Follow the steps given below to Initialize Fuel.

To Initialize Fuel

  1. Ensure all Pumps are Idle (no one fueling), then run Initialize Fuel using the steps below.

  2. On the register, go to:

CSR Functions > 3. Fuel Manager Menu > 1. Initialize Fuel
