Pump Underrun or Overrun with Dollar amount in Red

Fix a fuel prepay underrun/overrun showing a red dollar amount as a DUE sale by re-running Prepaid MOP (credit/debit) so the network completes payment.

Overrun or Underrun Prepay — Dollar amount in Red

  • The pump shows a RED dollar amount.

  • The Prepay appears as a DUE sale (often after a Reserve Stop / interrupted Prepay).

To get Credit (paid) for Overrun/Underrun Prepay sales, perform the following steps:

1

Re-run the Prepaid Method of Payment(Credit/Debit) on the pump

On the register, select:

  • Pump# > Fuel > Prepaid MOP (Credit or Debit)

The transaction is processed through the Network, resulting in one of the following scenarios:

  1. Network complete:

The Due amount completes Successfully.

  1. Prompt to Present the Card again:

If prompted, have the Customer use the Card again

  • Debit: Have the customer Swipe/Insert/Tap again.

  • Credit: Have the customer run the Card again or enter it Manually (Expiration Date may be required).

2

If the sale still will not clear

  1. Check the journal tape:

If the Account number and Expiration Date are present, you can safely cash out the sale using Cash or Manual Credit.

  1. Then, Ring the sale back up, preferably under the Manual Fuel Department.

Select the Pump# and the Grade of Fuel the customer dispensed on.

This sends the transaction amount to the Network for completion, so your site gets paid.
