Earnify Configurations for Verifone POS or NCR POS
Configurations for setting up Earnify at site with Verifone POS or NCR POS with Commander setup.
Set up Earnify on Verifone POS or NCR POS sites running Commander.
Applies only to VeriFone POS or NCR POS sites with Commander. Do not use these steps for Gilbarco sites.
For Gilbarco sites, use Earnify Configuration for Gilbarco.
Before you start (inputs you need)
Merchant ID: site-specific 6-digit Buypass MID (assigned by Fiserv / Payment Host).Site SVB: site-specific 7-digit SVB (used to build the Store ID).Site Address: copy from the top of a site receipt.Config Client access: Manager (or higher).
If you do not know the Buypass MID, contact the BP HelpDesk to retrieve it.
1) Log into Commander Config Client
Select CSR Function (bottom-right).
Select Configuration Manager.
Sign in to Config Client with Manager user credentials.
Config Client is not available directly on the POS.
From the RSM PC (or back-office PC), open Config Client using the local POS IP in the URL.
Enter the Config Client URL and use the local POS IP.
Sign in to Commander Config Client with Manager (or higher level access).
2) Mobile Payment Configuration
Go to Payment Controller → Mobile Payment Configuration.
Open the Site Mobile Configuration tab and set the below fields:
Accept Mobile Payments: Enabled (checked)Site Configuration
Site Name:BP MOBILEWelcome Message:Welcome to BP Mobile
Miscellaneous Configuration
Data Storage Time (In Secs):30Site Address: (site address from top of receipt)
Select Save button at the top right side of the screen. To save the configuration, Message box will appear to enter OTP, follow the step below to generate the OTP.
OTP generation steps (for OTP Prompt shown when saving some changes)
If an OTP prompt appears when you select Save:
Select
Generate OTP.Read the 4-digit code from the Commander device display.
Enter it into
One-Time Password.Select
OK.
3) Mobile Host Configuration
In Payment Controller → Mobile Payment Configuration, open the Host Configuration tab.
Select Add.
Enable Host (check the enable box).
Under Host Configuration, enter this field first:
Site Terminal ID: Enter002
Enter Site Terminal ID first. Then enter the remaining values.
Complete the remaining fields:
Adapter: SelectVFI Mobile v1from dropdownProgram Name:BP MOBILE(all caps/capital letters)Merchant ID:<6-digit Buypass MID>Note: Site-specific value, assigned by Fiserv (Payment Host).
If unknown, contact BP HelpDesk to retrieve.

Leave these fields blank:

Under Network Configuration, complete the following:

Under Misc Configurations, complete the following:
Outdoor Pre-authorization Timeout (In Secs):90Site Initiated Loyalty:Allow Site Entry i.e., Swipe Loyalty Card
Select Save (OTP maybe required. OTP can be generated by following OTP generation steps give above).
4) Mobile MOP Configuration
Go to Store Operations → Payment.
In Payment Manager, open the MOP tab.
Confirm a
MOBILEMOP is setup.
Confirm the MOP code is set to:
28 - MOBILE
Confirm the additional options match the picture below.
5) Car wash product + department setup
If the site has Car wash available, confirm Product and Department codes are set up correctly.
Go to Store Operations → Merchandise → Product Codes.
Confirm Car wash uses Product code
0102
Go to Store Operations → Merchandise → Departments.
Confirm the department is associated with Product code
0102
6) POS loyalty configuration
Go to Payment Controller → POS Configuration.
Open the POS tab. Complete the following configuration:
Under Batch, complete the following:
Batch Close Period:Day
Under Loyalty, complete the following:
Loyalty Enabled- must be checkedMultiple Loyalty Discounts in same Transaction- must be checkedAuth on Total- must be checkedEPS PPG precedes POS PPG- must be checked
Select Save button (OTP may be required. OTP can be generated by following OTP generation steps give above).
7) EPS Global Configuration
Go to Payment Controller → EPS Configuration → EPS Global Configuration.
Open the Loyalty tab.
Under Loyalty Configuration Parameters, enable:
Enable Alternate ID- must be checkedDisplay Host Messages- must be checked
Select Save (OTP may be required. OTP can be generated by following OTP generation steps given above).
8) Loyalty Card Configuration (only if local loyalty is present)
If the site has another PCATS (Local Loyalty) configured in Commander, following steps must be completed to add the Earnify FEP.
Go to Payment Controller → EPS Configuration → Loyalty Card Configuration.
Open the Loyalty Card Configuration tab.
Under Supported FEPs, select Add.
Enter
VCMGin the box.Select Save (OTP may be required. OTP can be generated by following OTP generation steps give above).
9) Disable swipe-ahead (Commander Base 55)
On Commander Base 55 sites:
Go to CSR Function → Maintenance → Device Configuration → PINPAD Configuration.
Select EPS PINPAD – With swipe-ahead disabled.
10) Datalogic scanner setup (VeriFone POS only)
This does not apply to NCR POS.
Go to CSR Function → Maintenance → Device Config → Scanner Config.
Set
Installed Scannerto2D Scanner – Com8.Reboot the POS (required).
11) Test barcode scan
Scan the barcode below. Then test with an Earnify app barcode after reward is claimed.
